The rent laws are due to expire in June 2011.  Don’t let this happen!!!  Contact your elected officials and let them know how you feel about this issue.  Abolishing the rent laws will leave the elderly, the disabled, and families on fixed incomes at the mercy of landlords who will raise their rents to unaffordable levels in order to vacate the properties for more prosperous tenants.
